The Embassy of Finland in Tel Aviv, The Embassy of Israel in Helsinki and the Israel National Quantum Initiative hosted a webinar to encourage Finnish-Israeli cooperation in quantum computing — from basic research to commercial partnerships.
Finland is one of the leading quantum computing hubs in Europe with a strong ecosystem backed by advanced R&D capabilities and a flagship project of building a 50- qubit quantum computer by 2024.
The webinar highlighted information on the Finnish quantum computer project and ecosystem. The organizers hope to arrange future webinars focusing on Israel’s activities in this area.
Speakers included the initiative’s leaders: VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland; IQM, a leading quantum computer hardware developer and a key partner in the project; and Aalto University, a leading quantum computing research hub.
