On September 12 over 70 librarians, researchers and specialists from research authorities, research funds and computing centers gathered for the ORCID Consortium Israel Workshop at Tel Aviv. The workshop program explained and demonstrated how researchers, research organizations and funders can enhance their activity and enjoy all the benefits from using ORCID. The program covered new and improved features in the research ecosystem, and how institutions using CRIS are automating processes and optimizing added value.
Dr. Paloma Marín-Arraiza from ORCID addressed participants on the role ORCID plays in research ecosystem and how to make the most of its benefits. Margarida Vaz de Brito from Elsevier spoke on best practices and progress on Pure-ORCID integrations.
A special session was dedicated to research funders and ORCID demonstration of the benefits, workflows and available plans. Representatives from the Israel Science Foundation (ISF) and Binational Agricultural Research and Development Fund (BARD) participated in this session.
