IUCC staff presented three sessions at European Open Science MeetUp on February 12, 2018 hosted by our colleagues at ISERD and the Israel innovation Authority. Dr. Sigal Lahav Scher, MALMAD Director, shared her expertise on new developments in Open Access standards and rules, especially vis-à-vis publishers and consortium acquisition. Hank Nussbacher, Network & Computing Infrastructure Director spoke about the EU infrastructure projects Israel plays an active role in, such as GÉANT, PRACE and Vi-SEEM. Eli Shmueli, Director of MEITAL introduced the participants to the ambitious scope of European learning technology programs. Israel’s national center for learning technologies is contributing a great deal to these programs.
This is event brought together stakeholders to promoting deeper understanding of Open Science and Open Access initiatives and what they mean for Israel.
