On June 21, 2016 IUCC hosted a contingent of people from the ISI Deter team, all part of Tel-Aviv University Cyberweek. A special User forum was conducted for the CREATE lab users, whereby users from academia and industry could hear updates about the DETER system and its Israeli counterpart – CREATE. Users were able to air what they felt is needed and missing from both DETER and CREATE. Attending from ISI in California were Terry Benzel, Stephen Schwab and Goran Scuric. Terry, the head of DETER lab, presented several DETER lab use cases, such as large scale cyber security experiments, like power grid and large infrastructure network attack simulations as well Capture-the-Flag student training. CREATE lab is a free for use lab for research and education maintained and supported by the Cyber Security team at IUCC as part of a collaboration with Israeli National Cyber Bureau.
