Terms of Use of the Website of IUCC – the Inter-University Computation Center
1. General
1.1 Upon entering the website of “Inter-University Computation Center” (henceforth: “the website”), and prior to carrying out any action on the website and/or using any service or information of any kind offered on the website, the user is requested to read, carefully, the terms of service detailed below, including the website content, the services and usage options found and offered through it (henceforth: the “Terms of Use”).
1.2 The terms of use specify the relationship between Inter-University Computation Center, owner of the website (henceforth: “ IUCC”), and any person/entity entering the website and/or making use of the website and/or the information offered and/or the services found and/or offered as part of the website, of any kind or sort, whether they exist on the website or can be obtained through it (henceforth: the “ User”).
1.3 IUCC shall be permitted to change, from time to time, the terms of use, including the way the services are offered on the website , their dates and so forth at its sole discretion. Such changes and/or adjustments shall take effect from the date of their publication on the website.
The user will be responsible for keeping up to date, at any time, with any change and/or adjustment that IUCC shall make to in the terms of use and the user hereby irrevocably waives any claim and will be prevented from raising any claim and/or demand in connection therewith.
1.4 Without derogating from the above, IUCC will be entitled to discontinue ,at any time, all or part of the activity on the website, temporarily or permanently, for the purpose of making updates and/or upgrades and/or corrections and/or adjustments and/or as the result of interference, availability and functionality of the website and/or malfunctions or failures of the internet or telephone network, and the user hereby irrevocably waives any claim, and shall be prevented from making any claim and/or suit and/or demand in connection therewith.
1.5 To remove any doubt, it is hereby clarified that in any case of contradiction and/or incompatibility of any kind or type, between the Terms of Use and the content detailed on the website, the provisions specified in the Terms of Use shall prevail.
2. What is the Inter-University Computation Center website?
The Inter-University Computation Center website provides the user with a wealth of information on various topics. This information includes:
General information about IUCC, information and services for universities, the academic and administrative staff, news, information related to research, events, videos and more.
Use of IUCC website constitutes the user’s consent to the terms of use, without being required to explicitly give such consent.
3. Information and images on the website:
The information on this site is presented for convenience purposes only and the binding information shall be the information appearing in IUCC’s regulations, procedures and official publications (henceforth: the “official version“). In any case of contradiction between the information appearing on the website and the official version, the provisions specified in the official version will prevail.
IUCC may change from time to time at its sole discretion the information, content and images on the website. The Inter-University Computation Center does not guarantee that information the users finds on the website at any given time will continue to be published in the future.
4. Intellectual Property:
4.1 intellectual property rights, including copyrights, distribution rights, trade secrets and all other intellectual property rights, pertaining to the information and services found on the website, are owned solely by IUCC or in case that they are presented on the website and/or through the website via a third party, are the property of these third parties only, and the user shall have no rights with respect to them whatsoever (hereinafter: “the protected data“).
4.2 The user may not copy, distribute, make changes, broadcast, publicly display, reproduce, publish, issue a license, create derivative works from the information and data published on the website and/or deliver to any third party any of the above, without obtaining in advance the explicit written consent of IUCC. The name of IUCC, the domain name of the website and proprietary symbols (whether registered or not) of IUCC are the exclusive property of IUCC and/or anyone acting on its behalf and may not be used without its written consent, obtained in advance.
4.3 The user undertakes not to remove, conceal, disable and/or modify any notice and/or any marks relating to the intellectual property rights and/or to IUCC’s rights and exclusivity, whether these notices and/or marks are attached, included and/or associated with intellectual property rights or not.
4.4 The intellectual property rights of IUCC apply, inter alia, to the graphic design of the site, its databases, the computer code of the site, content on the website pages and any other details related to its operation. No data may be copied, reproduced, distributed, sold, marketed or translated from the website, nor may any data published on the website be used for the purpose of displaying such data on any other website or service without the prior written permission of IUCC, and in accordance with that permission (if given). It is also prohibited to collect data from the site by any technical means, or to disseminate such data in public.
4.5 The site may not be displayed in a graphic design or interface other than those designed by IUCC or as part of an iframe, subject to prior written consent by IUCC.
4.6 The name “IUCC”, IUCC’s trademarks and the domain name of the website (whether registered or not) are all the property of IUCC only. They cannot be used without written permission, obtained in advance.
5. Restricting commercial use of the website:
No commercial use may be made using the website or the data published therein.
6. Changes to the Site:
IUCC may change, from time to time, without any advance notice, the structure of the site, the appearance, scope and availability of the services offered therein, the links found therein, and any other aspect connected with the site and its operation. Such changes shall be made, inter alia, as a result of IUCC’s activities taking into account the dynamic nature and the innovations of the Internet. By nature, such changes may involve malfunctions, or may initially cause inconvenience, and so forth. Such changes will not give the user any claim or demand against IUCC for making such changes, or malfunctions that may occur in the course of their execution.
7. Limited Liability:
7.1 IUCC shall provide the user with the services as described in the Terms of Use to the best of its ability. In any case where IUCC shall not be able to provide the user with any or all services of the website, for any reason whatsoever, including due to act and/or omission by IUCC or in any case were IUCC decides to change and/or cancel the services in accordance with the provisions of section 1.4 above, the user will not be entitled to any compensation and/or indemnity of any kind whatsoever for the aforesaid, and the user hereby waives fully and irrevocably any claim and/or suit of any kind and type whatsoever in this regard.
7.2 Without derogating from IUCC’s rights under section 4.1 above, IUCC and/or anyone acting on its behalf shall bear no liability whatsoever for direct or indirect damage and/or loss, loss of profits, damage to reputation, and/or other financial damages arising and/or related to the user’s ability to benefit from the use of the site and/or the adaptation of the services to the user’s needs.
IUCC shall bear no responsibility whatsoever to the use or reliance of a user on information and content published on the site, including those published by third parties; and shall not be responsible in any way for the disruption of functionality and/or availability of the websites and/or other services arising from malfunctions or failures, be their reason what it may, including, but without derogating from the above, malfunctions of the Internet or TV networks and/or overload of traffic in email; etc.
7.3 The user acknowledges that the services and all that is related thereto are provided by IUCC the condition they are [As Is] and subject to their availability. By use of the website the user hereby declares and guarantees that user is solely and fully responsible for any use they make of the services or information found on the website, and agrees that IUCC is not responsible, directly or indirectly, for any use the user makes of such services or information.
